Greetings from the Office of Residence Life at USC Aiken!

Congratulations on your acceptance to USC Aiken and your choice to become a part of the Pacer family.

This web site is your tool to create a profile and review profiles of your classmates, to make connections, and possibly meet a roommate.

Please pay close attention to the steps below:

Step 1: Complete below items in Please Don't Snore by April 27th. This is also the date that mutual roommate selection begins.
  1. Your personal profile.
  2. Your profile photo (if desired).
  3. Your roommate preferences.

Step 2: Review classmate profiles – make friends!

Step 3: Match with a roommate (if desired). The "matching" feature of Please Don’t Snore will be available April 27 -June 15. Students can match at any time during this timeframe.

** Please note, selecting a roommate in PleaseDon’tSnore does not confirm your roommate. Additionally, you will need to choose your roommate in Self-Service Carolina by June 15th.**

Step 4: Select and place yourself into a room between May 4-June 15.
  1. Log into Self Service Carolina (
  2. Click on the Student Tab.
  3. Click on the box that says Housing Services.
  4. Go to the campus tab and select Aiken and click continue.
  5. If you have a roommate preference, set them up first before selecting your room. Your roommate will also have to setup their preferences just like yours in order for you to be roomed together.
  6. Place yourself into your desired space.

Once you have chosen a room, you will be able to view your assignment details and roommate/suitemate information on our website. You will also have the ability to remove yourself from a room and place yourself in another room between May 4-June 15.

Failure to select a room by the June 15 deadline will result in a room being selected for you.
